Growing up with strict parents!!

It seems like an old topic trending on the internet. So today, I’m telling my story & yes! The struggle is real my friends! Not that much lol! but you’ll know by the upcoming words…

I had an amazing childhood, a perfect one!! I’m not sure if I’m ever going to feel the same back then and, I’m truly thankful to my parents who had sacrificed a LOT so I can have the life I’m having now!! With that being said, and growing up to become a teenager, the life was not that much “fun” to me.

Anyone with strict parents would know what I’m talking about. for example, sleepovers was NOT a part of your life back then! like for real: IMPOSSIBLE. Plus, the parents were perpetual chaperones. Oh yeah! you couldn’t go out anywhere without knowing that your mom or dad was nearby, just to make sure you’re not doing anything wrong. And friends! friends! Oh, friends!! They would’ve never thought that any of your friends is good “enough” for you. And when these friends keep asking you “why?”, or “just ask them again”… What they didn’t know is that it takes a really long time to convince your parents about any plan with your friends. Oh yes! I remembered another thing, lol! : when your parents say that famous sentence: “unlock your phone and give it to me”! Man, I didn’t have a phone till the past 3 years. Or when you didn’t need a curfew at all, because simplyย that would imply that you went out…

Wallahi I could continue non-stop with the list โˆž but I guess you get the point! ๐Ÿ˜€

Nevertheless, and now that I’m a bit older. I get to understand the reasons my parents were that strict to me, I truly thank them for everything. It’s because of that I’m an independent strong person.ย It’s because of that, I become who I am today. Without forgetting that they were right about 99% of things ๐Ÿ˜€ Oops!
